CHCANYS24 Conference Highlights Feldesman Depth of Experience

Feldesman Partners Adam Falcone, Jacki Leifer, and Dianne Pledgie will present on crucial matters for health centers at the 2024 Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS24) annual conference in Saratoga Springs, New York from October 7 – 9, 2024. The three attorneys bring decades of experience in compliance, governance, managed care, and other important topics related to the health center program.

Ms. Leifer will kick off the conference with the opening general session, “The Story of Us: Honoring Our Health Center Roots.” Throughout her decades-long career, Ms. Leifer has become a leader in the health center movement and will share her vast experience while discussing the creation and history of Section 330, community health centers’ federal protections, and the intersection with State Medicaid.

Health center contracts will be the focus of Mr. Falcone’s presentation “Negotiation Strategies for Managed Care Contracts and Successful Value-Based Payment Arrangements.” Also on October 7, this session will cover how to better prepare for and negotiate favorable participation agreements with managed care organizations. Additionally, Mr. Falcone will cover legal considerations for health centers with their value-based payment arrangements.

The Firm’s final session on October 7, “Community Health Center Compliance and Risk Management,” will feature Ms. Pledgie and speak to recent compliance program updates and New York Office of the Medicaid Inspector General requirements. Discussing the seven elements of a compliance program and specific New York concerns, Ms. Pledgie will provide best practices for health centers to revise their compliance programs and abide by new conditions.
