Feldesman Partner to Present at Tribal Nations Conferences
Feldesman Partner Phillip Escoriaza will present on federal funding issues impacting Tribal Nations at the 18th Annual Native American Economic Development Conference and the inaugural Tribal Emergency Management Conference, both taking place from June 10-11 in Temecula, CA.
On June 10, Mr. Escoriaza will deliver the featured legislative update at the Economic Development Conference, providing an overview of recent federal actions impacting Tribes, Tribal Nations, and Native-owned enterprises. Drawing on his extensive experience advising Tribal governments, Mr. Escoriaza will provide a comprehensive analysis of the current federal funding environment and share practical insights for addressing potential budget shortfalls, adapting to policy changes, and evolving regulatory priorities.
At the Tribal Emergency Management Conference, Mr. Escoriaza will present Securing Funding and Grants for Emergency Management Programs. During this session, he will focus on federal financial assistance awards from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other agencies, exploring strategies for post-award compliance with the Uniform Guidance, including permissible use of funds, procurement, and policies and procedures.
