Andrea C. Harris has more than 10 years of experience advising health care organizations, nonprofit entities, and businesses on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and enterprise risk management. Her practice focuses on health care compliance for federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and community health centers, as well as corporate compliance, employment, and operational matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Harris served as General Counsel and Director of Corporate Compliance for a multi-site FQHC with over 375 employees. In those roles, she advised executive leadership teams and boards on high-stakes regulatory, operational, and governance matters, helping organizations navigate highly regulated environments while advancing their mission, stability, and long-term growth.
Ms. Harris brings a strategic, practical, and mission-driven approach to her work. She regularly counsels clients on compliance program design, federal and state regulatory requirements, contract and business strategy, employment matters, corporate governance, and FTCA-related issues. She has guided organizations through federal, state, and accreditation reviews—including HRSA and Joint Commission audits—supporting clients to achieve sustained compliance, operational readiness, and reduced regulatory risk.
She also has significant experience leading internal investigations, overseeing enterprise-wide risk management programs, and managing outside counsel in complex matters. Earlier in her career, Ms. Harris served as outside general counsel to small and mid-sized businesses and nonprofit organizations, representing clients in commercial, employment, and intellectual property matters, including litigation in state and federal courts.
A frequent speaker, Ms. Harris has presented regionally, nationally, and internationally on health care compliance, governance, leadership, and legal issues affecting both the health care industry and the legal profession.
