David A. Mahoney is an Associate in the firm’s Federal Grants, Litigation & Government Investigations and Government Contracts practice groups. Mr. Mahoney assists clients in a variety of areas related to federal grants and contracts including compliance with the FAR and DFARS, contract review and negotiation, audit resolution support on cost-reimbursement federal financial assistance agreements, administrative appeals and litigation in state and federal court.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Mahoney served as a law clerk to the Honorable Zachary N. Somers of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims where he assisted the Court in producing decisions and orders in cases brought under the Tucker Act and Administrative Procedures Act.

While pursuing his law degree at Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Mahoney interned for the Honorable Sean D. Jordan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He also worked as a research assistant for the Georgetown Center for the Constitution, as well as a law clerk for the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Tort Claims Act Section.
