Natalie S. Lesnick advises federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), behavioral health organizations, federal grantees, and nonprofit organizations, in navigating federal health care compliance and privacy matters, including compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Patient Records regulations at 42 CFR part 2 (Part 2), and Office of Inspector General (OIG) Compliance Program Guidance.

She works closely with clients to develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs aligned with federal, state, and industry standards and supports healthcare providers with compliance program effectiveness evaluations, compliance risk assessments, policy development, internal investigations under the Breach Notification Rule, and compliance and privacy best practices.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Lesnick was a consultant with Strategic Management Services, where she counseled health care organizations on compliance program design and implementation, HIPAA assessments, and industry best practices. She led Compliance Program Effectiveness Evaluations and served as an interim Compliance and Privacy Officer for several clients.

While earning her law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Ms. Lesnick served as a Corporate Compliance Intern at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., where she supported global privacy initiatives, evaluated risk related to advertising and promotion, and analyzed federal enforcement trends to guide compliance strategies. She also externed with the Health, Education, Advocacy, and Law (HEAL) Project at Community Legal Aid Services, focusing on public health law and policy in collaboration with local partners and medical-legal partnerships.

Ms. Lesnick holds certifications in Health Care Compliance (CHC) and Health Care Privacy Compliance (CHPC) from the Health Care Compliance Association. Her license to practice law in Washington, DC is pending and is currently limited to federal health care matters.
