CY2025 Redeeming Application Receives Major Updates by HRSA

By | Published On: March 13, 2024

On Monday, March 12, 2024, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced on their website that calendar year 2025 Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) redeeming applications are due June 24, 2024. However, the corresponding Program Assistance Letter (PAL) has yet to be published. Therefore, it is unknown what the specific requirements for CY2025 will be nor when the Electronic Handbook (EHB) will be open to receive applications. We do know that there will be significant changes in the way training tracking is reported with information regarding individual employee training entered directly into the EHB as well as a shift toward calendar year reporting of risk management and quality assurance information.

To help you prepare for the CY2025 redeeming application process HRSA has published an updated FTCA Deeming Application Step by Step Guide. In addition, HRSA is conducting an FTCA Deeming Application Clinic for four days in March and April 2024. The clinic’s first session was on March 6 with the remaining sessions on March 20, 27 and April 9. All sessions are recorded and can be accessed at your convenience. You can register at the link provided.

Please check the EHB and HRSA’s website daily for publication of the PAL on the CY2025 FTCA redeeming application process. It should be published shortly.
