FTLF Partner Scott Sheffler to Co-Chair New ABA Grant Law Committee
Washington, D.C. – Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP is pleased to announce partner Scott Sheffler’s role in establishing a Grant Law Committee within the ABA’s Public Contract Law Section.
This newly formed committee is chaired by Tiffany Kesslar (Brunstein & Manasevit PLLC), Kerry Neal (EPA, Office of Grants & Debarment), Wendel Askew (EPA, Office of Counsel), Dismas Locaria (Venable LLP), Brian Walsh (Wiley Rein LLP), and Scott Sheffler (FTLF).
The Committee held its inaugural meeting on September 11 at FTLF’s Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Victoria Collin, Chief of the Management Controls and Assistance Branch at the White House Office of Management and Budget, joined as the guest speaker. Additionally, the committee members provided an overview of recent cases in federal grants, which they will continue to do at future meetings.
As a partner in the firm’s Federal Grants and Health Care Law practice groups, Sheffler regularly advises clients in federal grants and government contracts. He also assists clients with all manner of federal grant management requirements, including those established in the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance); the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars that preceded the Uniform Guidance; and program-specific statutory and regulatory funding conditions.
Sheffler leverages his experience with complex federal regulatory systems to help mission-driven clients successfully navigate federal grant and contract compliance, manage complex transactional matters, and weather unexpected adverse situations.
