Feldesman Managing Partner, Ted Waters, will present several workshops at the 2024 Statewide Spring Training Conference in Greenville, South Carolina. This event, scheduled from April 1 – 4, 2024, is jointly hosted by the South Carolina Community Action Partnership and the South Carolina Head Start Association and draws hundreds of community action and Head Start professionals from across the state.

On Wednesday, April 3, Mr. Waters will lead the following sessions in the financial track:

• Can I Really Charge That to a Grant? Exploring the Allowable Cost System
• • 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

• Where Grantees Get in Trouble: Cost Allocation and Time and Effort
  • 1:15 – 2:30 p.m.

• What is of Interest in a Federal Interest? What You Should Know About the Federal Interest Before, During, and After the Federally Funded Project
  • 2:45 – 4:00 p.m.

Throughout these trainings, Mr. Waters, a national authority in federal grants, will touch upon some of the top compliance concerns and risk areas Community Action Agencies often encounter. Additionally, Mr. Waters will offer strategies on how to best navigate the complex world of federal funding.
