Feldesman Partner Nicole M. Bacon will present at the Region IV Head Start Association’s Annual Training Conference & Expo, taking place in Atlanta from February 26 – March 1, 2024. 

Head Start programs across the country are facing severe candidate recruitment challenges. In her session, “Who’s Really Qualified: Head Start Staff Qualifications Amid Staff Shortages,” Ms. Bacon will provide insights into available staff qualification flexibilities. She will also discuss strategies for programs to take advantage of these flexibilities while continuing to meet timelines for certain competencies. Additionally, Ms. Bacon’s presentation will touch upon potential staffing impacts of the recently proposed changes to the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
