FTLF’s Managing Partner Edward “Ted” Waters will present at the Community Action Program Legal Services, Inc. (CAPLAW) National Training Conference on June 27 – 29, 2023 in Austin, Texas. Mr. Waters will lead two sessions during the conference that will address important topics related to federal grantees. 

His first session, “Lifecycle of a Cost Disallowance”, will discuss the audit process, responding to draft findings, handling the audit resolution process, and the repayment of federal funds. 

Mr. Waters’ second session, “Working with the Federal Government”, will focus on practical strategies for dealing with federal and state agencies. Additionally, Mr. Waters will dissect the roles of various government officials involved in federal grants in order for federal grant recipients to better interact with their funders. 

These sessions will serve as useful resources for anyone responsible for managing or overseeing federal grants.
